ThinkAorta App Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 3, 2026

Ashmeade Ventures (“Ashmeade Ventures,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the ThinkAorta mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App. This Policy applies to users in the United States.

ThinkAorta is a clinical decision-support tool designed to help emergency providers rapidly locate aortic treatment centers. We collect only the data necessary to deliver this functionality.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or other contact information in order to use it. We collect the following categories of information:

a. Location Data

With your permission, the App uses your device’s precise geographic location to identify and display nearby aortic treatment centers. Your location is used only to perform that search. Where a search request is sent to our servers, your coordinates are processed transiently to return results and are not stored in a form linked to you or your device. We may retain aggregated, de-identified data derived from searches (for example, search counts by general region), as described in Section 6.

b. Diagnostics and Usage Data

We collect diagnostic and usage information to monitor App performance, identify bugs, and improve the user experience. This information may include:

This information is pseudonymous. It does not include your name or contact details, and we do not use it to identify you, although it may be associated with identifiers such as an installation ID or IP address.

c. Information You Send Us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to your request.

2. No Patient Information

The App does not collect, store, or transmit patient information, including protected health information (“PHI”) as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). The App does not request patient names, identifiers, clinical details, or images, and it does not create or maintain medical records. Please do not enter patient information into the App or include it when contacting us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App’s clinical mission. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We disclose information only in the limited circumstances below.

Service Providers

We use the following service providers, which process information on our behalf and only according to our instructions:

These providers are contractually required to safeguard information and to use it only to provide services to us.

Apple

If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated App usage and crash information. This collection is performed by Apple under its own privacy policy. You can change this choice at any time in your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Maps and Navigation

If you choose to get directions to a treatment center, the App may open Apple Maps, Google Maps, or another navigation app. Your location and destination are then handled by that provider under its own privacy policy.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government authority, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ashmeade Ventures, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If Ashmeade Ventures is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquirer will be required to handle the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

5. Location Data — Additional Details

Location access is optional. The App will request permission to access your location when you first use the center-locator feature. You may deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings; however, doing so will prevent the App from displaying nearby treatment centers based on your position.

We do not share your precise location with third parties (other than as described above when you choose to open a navigation app), retain individual location histories linked to your device, or use location data for any purpose beyond the core search functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

No precise individual location records are retained.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by licensed healthcare providers and emergency medical professionals. It is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You can control the information the App collects in the following ways:

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of the sale of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Because we do not maintain user accounts or collect your name or contact information, we may be unable to associate data we hold with you. To help us locate it, we may ask for information such as your device’s App installation identifier. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days). You may submit a request yourself or through an authorized agent, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state’s Attorney General.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@ashsoft.org.

9. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including encryption of data in transit. However, no transmission or storage system is completely secure. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may display information about, and links to, third-party medical facilities and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those organizations. This Privacy Policy applies solely to the ThinkAorta App.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this document. If changes are material, we will notify you through the App or other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The revised Policy will apply to your use of the App after its effective date.
